About Me
Hi, my name is Dominic Naylor, I am a qualified CBT/REBT therapist, accredited by National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS acc). I offer both face to face and online sessions to those looking for a supportive environment to confidentially share their worries and emotions.

Therapy changed my life and inspired me to pursue a career to support others dealing with emotional disturbance and pain. I have a background in professional sport and the construction industry. Both have given me valuable insight into people, behaviours, work pressure, high performance, and the demands associated with these. My experiences allows me to understand people's emotions and feelings which enables me to create a safe space for them to discuss their issues.

Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
REBT is a compassionate, non-judgmental, talking based therapy. It provides a sound therapeutic base and structure, which enables it to blend perfectly with many Integrative therapies. The structured process works towards setting realistic goals, providing insight and understanding of how we as humans are influenced by the beliefs and views we create, which are untrue and unhelpful. These beliefs and views in turn create unhealthy behaviours and thoughts, leading to unhealthy emotions and wellbeing. REBT enlightens us with skills to question these beliefs and views, which ultimately helps us to understand ourselves and gives us the insight to create healthier and more rational alternatives. The process leads to positive personal development, acceptance, resilience and use of powerful techniques to create healthier emotional wellbeing and outcomes, which enables us to deal with whatever comes our way in life.
ACT is a type of therapy that focuses on helping people accept negative thoughts, feelings or symptoms. ACT encourages commitment to healthy, constructive and flexible activities that align with individuals values and goals.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a therapy which focuses on techniques to help individuals process traumatic memories and distressing life experiences.
The goal of EMDR is to guide and help individuals deal with these memories by reprocessing the fragments of disturbance to resume a natural healing process.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
CFT is a therapy which focuses on developing individual awareness of compassion and kindness towards oneself and others. Working together with REBT it helps individuals dealing with shame or low self worth to gain and strengthen valuable self acceptance.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT like REBT is a talking therapy which focuses on the development of coping skills for dealing with different problems.
It helps individuals to understand how their thoughts, beliefs and views affect their feelings, behaviours and actions.
